Tara and James Ybarra are a husband-and-wife wedding planning duo known for their exceptional customer service, creativity, and calming demeanor—qualities highly valued in the wedding planning industry. With their combined skills and experience, they offer an unbeatable duo for planning unforgettable weddings.


Tara’s Journey to Wedding Planning


From a young age, Tara was destined to become an event planner. Even at 10 years old, she showed a natural talent for interior design by rearranging furniture, sewing her own clothes from repurposed materials, and organizing every corner of her childhood home. Tara’s love for creativity and organization became the foundation of her wedding planning career.


Her professional journey in wedding planning began in 2002 when she worked as a photographer’s assistant. During this time, Tara fell in love with capturing candid moments of love between couples, a passion that would later influence her approach to planning weddings. As photography transitioned to digital, Tara’s creativity found a new outlet in baking, and she became a pastry chef creating beautiful wedding cakes. After a memorable incident with a dropped cake, Tara decided to focus on something a little less fragile: floral design. Learning about the meanings of flowers and their traditions in weddings, Tara worked as a florist before realizing that her true calling was wedding planning.


In 2013, after completing her Event Planning certification and with the full support of her husband, Tara and James opened Ybarra Events. Tara’s diverse background, from photography to floral design and event coordination, has made her a versatile and highly skilled wedding planner. She is also a Certified Event Planner, a Registered Minister (just in case!), TIPS Certified, and CPR Certified.

James is the perfect partner to Tara’s expertise in wedding planning. Known for his exceptional attention to detail and customer service, James has an uncanny ability to anticipate the needs of clients before they even ask. About Heather


Heather has always had a passion for planning. 

Starting out in the wedding industry working with photographer that offered planning services, Heather dove in headfirst into the wedding world! She realized how much she loves planning and helping others. When the economy tanked, Heather went into the Healthcare industry as a Dialysis Nurse, saving lives. Although she was doing amazing work, every day she missed weddings, so when Ybarra Events had an opening, Heather happily joined the quirky planning team.


Heather is exactly the planner you want in charge of your wedding day. Not only is she responsive, detailed, friendly, helpful, and creative; she is also an incognito warrior demigoddess! You would never guess it based on her sweet demeaner, but Heather has a black belt in both Judo and Jujitsu. She will whip your groomsmen into place! 


In addition to Heather being a lethal weapon, she is amazing to have in a medical emergency with her years of experience in the medical field and literally preforming CPR daily! 


With Heather's friendly and calming personality, and her affinity for checklists and timelines, planning your wedding will be a breeze.
