Lakshmi and Nick at The Highlands Estate
In Hindu Ceremonies, there is a beautiful ritual called Mangalfera, the bride and groom walk around the fire four times. Each time they walk around the fire is a symbol of the four ashrams of life. While walking around the fire, the wedding couple is praying and exchanging vows of duty, love, fidelity, and respect. It is one of the most beautful and meaningful moments to watch throughout the wedding day.

"...you and James are amazing and I really don't know what we would have done with you!"

Lakshmi & Nick

Out in the rolling California hills lies The Highlands Estate, a beautiful gem of a Wedding Venue. With a built-in Mandap (or Chuppah) on the wedding lawn, it is the perfect venue for Hindu Ceremonies as well as Jewish Ceremonies, or any couple hoping for a wedding arch with a backdrop of vineyards. With accents of bright florals against the golden grass and farm tables as the backdrop, I absolutely fell in love with this design! I positively love planning multicultural weddings. (So much so that I took college courses to specialize in it!) It makes for such a unique event bringing together different traditions and making your own new ones. The wedding party even learned a Bollywood dance and performed it at the reception. It took so much hard work, and they did such a wonderful job. It was amazing and I was very impressed by their skills!
